Product Description
947-III Basic Soldering Iron
This temperature-controlled soldering iron is made for general soldering and desoldering work on a broad range of standard-sized circuit boards and components. If you are looking to get started in soldering, solder on-the-go, or have a backup soldering iron on a budget, this is the iron you’re looking for.
Easy Control
You can select from a temperature range of 428°F to 896°F for your work via the temperature control knob. The operation indicator light will turn ON or OFF to let you know if the iron is currently ON, or OFF. This iron also comes with a ON/OFF switch, allowing you to turn OFF the iron even when it is plugged into an electrical socket.
CAUTION: This soldering iron is made in the 110~127V USA configuration, DO NOT connect the iron directly to a 220V power socket.
Sensor-Controlled Temperature Stabilization
In conjunction with the temperature control function, the iron's built-in sensor detects the iron's actual temperature and makes power compensations based on the diferentials. So you can solder smoothly without waiting for the iron the heat up repeatedly.
How it works: As the soldering iron tip transfers heat onto the solder joint, the sensor compensates the heat loss with just the right amount of power to keep your iron at the set temperature.
Interchangable Tips
The soldering iron tips are interchangable, and they can be reasily changed into tips of other shapes to suit different soldering needs.
Sticky Holder (Re-usable)
The holder comes with a re-usable sticker at the bottom for you to stick the holder onto stable surfaces, and store the soldering iron safely while you’re working. The holder also has a designated slot for you to store either the cleaning kit (brass wool & rosin) or wet sponge to clean the iron tips.
